DO BAD GUYS ALWAYS GET THE GIRL

Sometimes it seems as if it's not fair. Do the bad guys always get the girl, leaving the good guys with the offer of friendship? This is not always the case. Good guys do not always finish last.

Women want to be treated well, contrary to the whole bad guy thing. While it is most often the nice guys that have deep, meaningful, friendships with women, it is the nice guys that women turn to in the end. The first thing to look at is why women turn to the good guys in the end, after they have made their rounds through the bad boys.

If you look at how bad boys are portrayed in the movies, you may get an understanding of what the appeal is to women. Bad boys are sexy, bad boys are just that, bad boys. They break rules, party hard, sometimes they break the law and through each and every situation  they do some bad thing, they have a beautiful girl right there beside them. However, bad boys often fail at one thing and that is friendship.

Think back to high school. Out of the guys, who were the most self assured, the most confident? It was the bad guys. All the other guys, the math and chemistry whiz’s were all shy, too afraid to ask the girls out. These are the guys that the girls had friendships with. The non threatening guys, the ones who gave you their shoulder to cry on when the bad guys treated them wrong.

Bad guys are fun, thrilling and sexy, but women don’t often think of them as being there long term. Bad guys can’t be tamed. Sure, some women try, but they rarely succeed. In the end, when a woman is looking to settle down and start a family, she is looking for a man who will be able to provide stability to the household. Someone that she not only loves, but will have a long lasting friendship with.

So while the bad guys may get the girls in the beginning, from high school to the mid twenties, it’s the good guys who they come to when the thrill is gone. Many things are important to women later in life. Chasing the bad guy and bailing him out of troublesome situations isn’t one of them. So if you are one of the good guys who are right now dealing with female friendships, hold tight. It won’t be long before they see you for you, and not just a  shoulder to cry on.
